It’s been two years since the previous 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas and the international trade is more than ready to venture back to the show that is often seen as the gateway into the US market.

German manufacturer of dies and accessories, Triebel, has teamed up with US-based Creedmoor Sports who will be the company’s sales partner in the USA. 

The US Department of the Interior (DOI) has announced plans to significantly expand public hunting and fishing opportunities across federal lands managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and National Park Service (NPS).

The total economic impact of the firearm and ammunition industry in the United States increased from $19.1 billion in 2008 to $70.52 billion in 2021, a 269 percent increase, while the total number of full-time equivalent jobs rose from approximately 166,000 to over 375,819, a 126 percent increase in that period, according to a report released by the NSSF, the firearm industry trade association.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced a record $1.5 billion in annual funding through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) Program to support state and local outdoor recreational opportunities, and wildlife and habitat conservation efforts. Much of this fund was came from Pittman-Robertson excise taxes paid by firearm and ammunition manufacturers.

French manufacturer, Verney-Carron, the oldest arms manufacturer in the country and a subsidiary of Cybergun Group, has signed a framework contract with the Ukrainian state-owned company Ukrspecexport for a record amount of €36 million.
