A Year with the B14² CREST

The rifle is designed for long distance high-country hunting where shooting distances are considered reasonably long, especially for hunters not used to shooting past 200 or 300 meters.

With its world renown barrel, the Bergara B14² Crest offers a high-performance, precision ultralight rifle, designed for long distance hunting in the mountains. It has already seen its fair share of usage across the world, taking various game at different ranges, all with astonishing precision.

Feedback on the versatility of this lightweight rifle from hunters and shooters around the globe has been overwhelmingly positive.

Lightweight and versatile

The B14² Crest is more than capable of producing sub-1.0 MOA groups or less at 100 yards using factory match grade ammunition, which is testament to Bergara’s quality barrels and the barrel making process.

The Crest is built on a lightweight, solid, Monte Carlo carbon fiber stock, which is manufactured using the latest innovative technology. It sets a new standard in carbon stocks, being the best choice for carbon rifles. Bergara has combined this new stock together with the Bergara B-14 action, resulting in a unique model that barely exceeds 3kg (without scope or base).

The short-barreled (20-inch) option provides versatility to this rifle. Being that its lightweight and shorter than the 24-inch version, it is an ideal rifle to also be used in a box blind or when stalking. Though it is designed with long-range hunters in mind, it’s versatility as a lightweight stalking rifle in its class gives it an added benefit.

The weight-reducing carbon fiber stock of the B14² Crest offers the user a lighter alternative to other rifles on the market with similar details.

The B14² Crest is no doubt one of the finest production rifles for the hunter that requires a lightweight rifle to pack when hiking into backcountry, offering precision when it matters most.

At the forefront of innovation

The B14² Crest rifle has certainly lived up to expectations and met the challenges set out for its intent and purposes. Hunter’s across the globe have been taken aback by the B14² Crest’s performance. It’s growing popularity surely elevates the rifle into being one of the most popular production rifles Bergara has to offer, following its predecessor the B-14 HMR.

Time will tell if Bergara has something new up its sleeve for the B14² Crest. Could they make this rifle lighter and offer a carbon barrel version or provide other caliber options? Bergara always listens to its customers so if the demand is there, the company will keep pushing the boundaries.

The industry is growing and Bergara knows that. In order to meet the demands of today’s shooters, Bergara has put a strong focus on studying the growing international market to bring in much-needed innovative ideas. We feel confident that you can expect more surprises from Bergara in the near future.
