Vortex adds green-dot option to Venom Enclosed line-up

Vortex Optics has expanded its Venom Enclosed Micro Red Dot range with a new model featuring a 3 MOA green dot.

The enclosed housing keeps rain, dust and debris off the emitter, which is the point of the Venom Enclosed range.

Designed for use on pistols, offset carbine mounts or as a piggyback optic on an low power variable optic , the sight retains the controls, handling and protective features of the existing Venom Enclosed models.

Its enclosed 6061 aluminium housing protects the emitter from rain, dust, snow and debris, while a large viewing window is intended to support rapid target acquisition. The aspherical lens provides a distortion-free sight picture with natural colour reproduction.

Adjustable brightness settings allow the dot to be matched to changing light conditions. Motion activation switches the optic on when movement is detected, while a 10-minute automatic shut-off helps conserve battery life. Controls are positioned on top of the housing for easier access.

According to Vortex, the green dot may be easier for some shooters to acquire against particular backgrounds or in changing indoor and outdoor light. It also provides an alternative for users who see green more clearly than red.
