Winchester launches Super Match competition ammunition range

The range covers dynamic action disciplines, 3-Gun, precision rifle shooting and shotgun sports, with options across common pistol, rifle and 12-gauge loads.

“Super Match is the answer for the competitive shooter,” said Kyle Masinelli, vice-president of manufacturing at Winchester Ammunition. “The extensive line covers needs for all categories of dynamic action shooting competition, and delivers exceptional accuracy, reliability, and consistency.”

Pistol offerings include 9mm, .40 S&W, .38 Super Auto +P and .45 Auto loads, with flat-nose and round-nose projectiles. Winchester said the ammunition uses high-sensitivity primers designed to support reliable ignition in tuned competition firearms, and that loads are configured for minor or major power-factor requirements.

The rifle range includes .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO, .308 Win, 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC and 6 ARC. Projectiles include boat-tail hollow points and the company’s new BC Max polymer-tipped bullet, which is offered in selected .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC loads.

For shotgun competitors, Super Match is available in 12-gauge with No. 7.5 shot, 00 buckshot and rifled slug options. The shotshells use thick-walled hulls and high-brass heads, intended to help maintain their shape in box-magazine-fed shotguns.

Winchester said its product engineers worked with competitive shooters during development of the new range. Super Match ammunition is available through dealers nationwide and online.
