Ruger acquires assets of Anderson Manufacturing to expand US production
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) has announced the asset purchase of Anderson Manufacturing, a firearms and accessories producer based in Hebron, Kentucky. The acquisition includes Anderson’s manufacturing facility and equipment, allowing Ruger to enhance its production capacity and broaden its product portfolio.
The facility, located in a firearms-friendly region of the United States, brings with it a skilled and experienced workforce, along with expertise in the production of both firearms and aftermarket parts—segments that closely align with Ruger’s core operations.
"This acquisition is an incredible opportunity to advance our long-term strategy and expand Ruger’s capacity," said Todd Seyfert, president and CEO of Ruger. "We’re excited to welcome members from the talented team at Anderson Manufacturing and leverage their knowledge and infrastructure to better serve our customers. This move reinforces Ruger’s position as a leader in the industry, and reiterates my focus on continued growth, even as others scale back."
Ruger confirmed that it will not continue the Anderson Manufacturing brand or its existing product line. Instead, the newly acquired facility and resources will be integrated into Ruger’s wider operations to support the launch of new products, the expansion of existing lines, and the development of Ruger’s growing accessories business.
The company emphasized that customers, distributors and partners can continue to expect the same level of quality, reliability and service that has long defined the Ruger brand.
This acquisition underlines Ruger’s ongoing commitment to American manufacturing and its strategic focus on innovation and long-term growth within the firearms industry.
