Beretta USA launches 92X Performance Carry Optic Dark Series

Beretta USA has unveiled the 92X Performance Carry Optic Dark Series, the latest evolution in its competition pistol lineup. The new model builds on the established 92X Performance Carry Optic platform, introducing refined features and a bold aesthetic available in three finishes: Scorched Earth, Midnight Squall, and Solar Flare.
“Designed in collaboration with world-class shooters, the 92X Performance Carry Optic Dark Series is engineered to deliver power, speed, and accuracy right out of the box,” said Logan Killam, Sr. Pistol Product Manager at Beretta USA. “It complies fully with USPSA Carry Optics Division regulations, ensuring it’s match-ready from day one.”
The Dark Series features a steel Vertec frame weighing 47.7 oz and contoured for balance and recoil management. A graphite gray Tinitec finish enhances durability while adding a modern look. Performance upgrades include a match disassembly latch for faster maintenance, beveled mag well for quicker reloads, an extended magazine release, and an 18-round magazine capacity.
The pistol also incorporates Beretta’s X-treme S Trigger System, which allows full adjustability for take-up, break, and overtravel, while reducing reset travel by up to 40 percent compared to standard 90 series triggers. Additional enhancements include a match DLC hammer, 1.0 mm fiber optic front sight, optics-ready slide cut, and checkered front and backstraps.
Each Dark Series pistol ships with two magazines, a speed loader, and a California-compliant gun lock. MSRP is listed at $1,699, and models are available at dealers nationwide.
The 92X Performance Carry Optic Dark Series introduces a new visual identity to Beretta’s performance line, offering color-matched triggers and grips across the three variants.
