Barrett announces the return of the REC7® DI Rifle

Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc., a leader in long-range precision firearms, is delighted to announce the return of the iconic REC7 DI rifle to the market in Summer 2024. Initially launched in 2016, the REC7 DI had been temporarily paused due to the MK 22 contract commitments but is now making a much-anticipated comeback.

The REC7 DI is celebrated for its unwavering reliability and precision, qualities essential in high-stakes scenarios where there is absolutely no room for error. The rifle features a mid-length gas system that functions flawlessly with or without a suppressor. Its upper and lower receivers are expertly machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and all aluminum components benefit from a Type 3 hardcoat anodizing, ensuring durability and resistance to wear.

Additionally, the REC7 DI includes a cold hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel, high-quality Magpul® furniture, an ALG QMS trigger, and an extended slimline Barrett handguard equipped with M-LOK® accessory mounting slots. These features underscore Barrett’s commitment to excellence and attention to detail in every aspect of their firearm manufacturing.

Bryan James, President of Barrett, expressed his enthusiasm about reintroducing the REC7 DI, noting, "We are thrilled to be able to offer the REC7 DI once again to our customers. This rifle embodies the legacy of quality and reliability that the Barrett name represents. We are confident that shooters will once again appreciate the exceptional performance and craftsmanship of the REC7 DI."

The REC7 DI, available in 5.56 x 45 NATO, is meticulously hand-built, inspected, and tested to meet the high standards expected from Barrett products, ensuring that each rifle delivers the performance that long-range shooters demand.
